Using Modern Molecular Tools for the Study of Integrative and Translational Physiology
Workshop/Symposium September, 2nd to 7th, 2019
Description:

The goals of this program are to provide instruction on modern molecular methodologies used in physiology research to graduate students, medical students, and postdoctoral fellows primarily in Brazil but also from additional South American countries (e.g. Argentina), and to foster collaboration between South American and American physiologists. The program (preliminary program detailed below) will be comprised of lectures, small group sessions, one-on-one mentoring sessions with participating faculty, and trainee presentations with faculty feedback. We propose a 5-day program during which time the trainees will develop a plan for a novel in vivo model system for their research projects.
Following the trainee program (September 2th-6th), it will be offered a Symposium (September 7th) with speakers working with advanced techniques. The Symposium will be opened to audience interested on topics related on Hydromineral and Energy Balance (undergraduate and graduate students, young researchers and Faculties).

Targeted Audiences:
-
Undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a career in physiology and the biomedical sciences
-
Postdoctoral fellows training in physiology and the biomedical sciences
-
